I live about 25 minutes from the prayer room now. I moved about a month ago. So it is taking some time to get used to having to leave about a half and hour earlier! Needless to say, I have been late quite a few times.

Well, this morning I was out the door early! So I decided to treat myself to some McDonald’s. ๐Ÿ™‚ I had just enough time to run through the drive thru and grab something. I counted the cash that I had and knew I could get 3 $1 items. So I ordered my food and even had my money ready before hand (impressive) and happily stretched my hand out my window to the nice lady waiting.

She sweetly smiled at me and said “It’s been taken care of.” I kind of just looked at her confused for a minute. She continued, “The lady in the car in front of you took care of it.”

A huge smile spread across my face as it dawned on me…

God cares for me and is my Provider!

Yesterday morning I taught a Sunday school class to the 5 year olds in my church. The whole lesson was on God caring for us. The memory verse was 1 Peter 5:7- “casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” The bible story was Matt. 6 where Jesus exhorts us to not worry but understand that God loves us more than the birds, so He will take care of us!

So I asked has anyone ever been worried? It was fairly amusing watching a 5 year old trying to come up with a worry. It is almost non-existent. They completely trust and have faith that their parents are going to provide for EVERY ONE of their needs and they never doubt. It is incredible the faith that children have! I learned a lesson from them!

So during our prayer, I asked the Lord to help them understand how much He cares for them, and that this truth would take root even when they are 30 and have to pay the bills! They all laughed at that.

God is continually reminding me how much He cares for me, and how He can provide in even the most surprising and fun ways!

Thanks for the McDonald’s, Lord!! ๐Ÿ™‚

In what ways is the Lord providing for you…look for it in EVERYTHING!

Today in the prayer room I was studying through Luke 12. I came across this really amazing verse. Luke 12:32- “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.”

The verses preceding this verse are talking about not worrying about what we are going to eat and drink and what clothes we are going to have for our bodies. It says we should be seeking His kingdom, and all these things will be added to us. We shouldn’t be seeking those things. We shouldn’t even be worrying. He saysย in verse 29 “And do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not keep worrying.” This is Jesus speaking. He is telling us not to worry. He isn’t saying, its ok to worry sometimes. No, He is saying do not worry. What do we spend the most time worrying about? Being provided for.

Jesus tells us that we do not have to be afraid! OUR FATHER HAS CHOSEN GLADLY TO GIVE US THE KINGDOM! He knows what we need and He will provide it for us! Wow! This has blown me away today! I do not have to worry, because my Father has it all under control!

This is really speaking to me because I have been moving into worry. I get anxious about things, but I need to rest, knowing He is taking care of me! He is my provider! Praise the Lord! Thank You Father, for caring about me and taking care of me! I trust You! You are amazing! I love You!

Being an intercessory missionary is pretty amazing. But it really challenges your faith and trust in the Lord. I am full time at IHOP-AC but this does not mean that I am paid by IHOP-AC. We are a non-profit organization and we only get money that people give to us. I have to raise my own money to be full time. I became full time in January and I am still seeking the Lord to provide on a monthly basis. I know that eventually I will have people who are funding the prayer movement through me on a monthly basis, but right now I am still gradually getting there. I have one person who funds me monthly and then like two days ago I received two more! God is being so faithful!

Also, my car broke down on Valentine’s day, and I had no idea how I was going to pay for it, but I just drove it to the mechanics and trusted the Lord. (Probably the first time I’ve ever not cried when my car broke down.) And the next night the Lord provided the money to fix my car plus extra!

Then about two days later I received a bill in the mail for something I had no idea I had to pay, and I didn’t trust the Lord. I immediately teared up and worry rose in my heart. But David Gordon, the director of IHOP-AC, reminded me that the Lord is faithful and He will provide. And sure enough a couple days later He provided the money!

I am so blown away by God. He always provides, but there are times when worry still rises in my heart! Help me God!

I just wanted all of you to know how AMAZING our God is! He provides, trust in Him and He will take care of EVERYTHING! Seriously. ๐Ÿ™‚
