Read Part 1 here.

This is team 1 and team 2 working on team building activities! The Lord was really dealing with me and exposing me and my selfishness during these activities! Help me, Lord!

This is me helping run games the 2nd week with Jeff. He is one of my best friends brothers!

We worked pretty well together…until…

There is one game where you call out random items for the campers to bring into the center and place in the game leaders hands.

Things like a braclet, toilet paper, hair, pastor, or earwax.

Well, without me knowing (since the translator was speaking) JeffΒ  planned for all the runner who bring the things into the center to have them WIPE the EARWAX (from a campers EAR) onto my ARM!!!!!!!!

It was the most disgusting experience of my life, to this day. I was furious. I stomped off the field.

BUT Jeff apologized and I forgave him and got over my anger. It was actually pretty funny. The campers LOVED it.

Here I am watching intently to make sure no one is doing anything illegal during this game of crab soccer.

Romanians are AMAZING soccer players. And they were even exceptional in this special edition of the game! πŸ™‚ And it was pretty hilarious to watch all these big guys crawling around on the ground!

Katrina sprained her ankle really bad one of the last days at campe the 2nd week! We got to go to a Romanian hospital and they put a cast on it! But the worst part was that she had no crutches for the remaining time and had to be carried everywhere!

She was pretty happy to get back to US and get crutches!

The 2nd week of camp is always HUGE and has older kids. Some of these kids have been coming for 5 years or more! It is really incredible to see them year after year and to watch them grow in love for Jesus!

On our way home after camp and during our flights to the US, we had a layover in Munich, Germany….and while we were there….

We got to go into the CITY! We were only there for about an hour. But it was totally worth it to get to see Munich!!!

All of us walking and taking pictures! Katrina had to be carried because there were no wheel chairs available! The boys were a blessing, to say the least!

Girls in Germany!

2nd week was a week of exposure for me. The Lord was showing me MANY areas where I still needed to become like Him! But He really worked in me!

Not only that but it was incredible to watch the campers worship Jesus. Many were dancing and rejoicing and cry and just experiencing the Lord!

I got to pray and minister with girls almost every night and many got saved! There were also quite a few who were renewed in their passion for Jesus!

The Lord is so good to let us go and minister and share His love with the WORLD!

I live about 25 minutes from the prayer room now. I moved about a month ago. So it is taking some time to get used to having to leave about a half and hour earlier! Needless to say, I have been late quite a few times.

Well, this morning I was out the door early! So I decided to treat myself to some McDonald’s. πŸ™‚ I had just enough time to run through the drive thru and grab something. I counted the cash that I had and knew I could get 3 $1 items. So I ordered my food and even had my money ready before hand (impressive) and happily stretched my hand out my window to the nice lady waiting.

She sweetly smiled at me and said “It’s been taken care of.” I kind of just looked at her confused for a minute. She continued, “The lady in the car in front of you took care of it.”

A huge smile spread across my face as it dawned on me…

God cares for me and is my Provider!

Yesterday morning I taught a Sunday school class to the 5 year olds in my church. The whole lesson was on God caring for us. The memory verse was 1 Peter 5:7- “casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” The bible story was Matt. 6 where Jesus exhorts us to not worry but understand that God loves us more than the birds, so He will take care of us!

So I asked has anyone ever been worried? It was fairly amusing watching a 5 year old trying to come up with a worry. It is almost non-existent. They completely trust and have faith that their parents are going to provide for EVERY ONE of their needs and they never doubt. It is incredible the faith that children have! I learned a lesson from them!

So during our prayer, I asked the Lord to help them understand how much He cares for them, and that this truth would take root even when they are 30 and have to pay the bills! They all laughed at that.

God is continually reminding me how much He cares for me, and how He can provide in even the most surprising and fun ways!

Thanks for the McDonald’s, Lord!! πŸ™‚

In what ways is the Lord providing for you…look for it in EVERYTHING!

On Monday night we have a two hour prayer meeting. During this prayer meeting we pray for revival and awakening in Alamance County. That people who know Jesus would fall more in love and people who do not know Jesus would accept Him!

At the end of the prayer meeting one of our interns read a passage of scripture. Romans 12:9-21. The very last verse says this: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Many times I wonder can I even overcome the evil that I see in my heart and desires? But it is possible!!! We can overcome evil by CHOOSING the RIGHT thing. Choosing what is good.

BUT the problem now becomes: Do I love what is good enough to choose it? Many times I DON’T! Which is why evil overcomes me!

Ps. 45:7 says, “You (Jesus) have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of joy above Your fellows.”

So many times with Christians we wonder why we aren’t filled with joy. Aren’t we supposed to be the most happy people??? YES WE ARE!

I was watching a video of Mike Bickle and Misty Edwards months ago, maybe even a year ago. Misty said something that has stuck in my mind ever since and that the Lord reminded me of on Monday night. Jesus was anointed with the oil of joy above His fellows BECAUSE He completely LOVES righteousness and HATES wickedness. But WE have something in us that still loves wickedness!!!

I see this so EVIDENT in my heart! I do not always overcome evil with good, because I don’t love the good thing enough, and there is love in my heart for the evil!!

So my prayer and pursuit is to LOVE righteousness and what is good, and ABHOR evil and wickedness as Jesus does!

I want to be violent in my pursuit to LOVE what Jesus loves and HATE what Jesus hates!!

Do you see it in your own life? The places where we still love wickedness? Oh to be anointed with the oil of joy!!! Oh to hate evil with every part of our beings!

Do it in us, God! Cleanse us and purify us of all the places where we still LOVE what You HATE! And make us a JOYFUL people like YOU are Jesus!

Love-Part 2

How can You say, “Return to Me.”? Does that mean you want me even though I am so dark? How can You be so good? Really? You want me to come back? Even though it seems that I don’t love You? Do You know I really do? Because I really do. Do You see deep down in me that crazy thirst I have for You? I know I will never be satisfied any where else! You do want me to approach You boldly? I can be confident? So You aren’t really like what I thought? It seems I’ve thought wrongly about You! Of course You knew who I was and the mistakes I would make before You chose me, and You still choose me? What kind of God are You? You are gracious, compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness! How could I have forgotten!? You are love and if You are love, then how could You NOT love me? It is in Your character and nature to call me lovely! If you would not love me, then You would not be God! So You do love me, don’t You? Oh what a wonderful thing to hear! This is why I can approach You boldly! Love covers a multitude of sins! O Lover of my soul, let this truth and declaration of Love, that You are, would seep deep down into every fiber of who I am. That I would believe You! You forgive me! You are the God that says “Return.” and “Come to Me”. Here I am, my Jesus. I return! I come to You! I can only be satisfied in You! Oh that I would continue to see You rightly! You are love and You are in love with me! You have ravished my heart, my Beloved.

Me sitting in the prayer room at IHOP-ATL!!

So I didn’t get a chance to write yesterday. I spent the day laying by a pool here in Lawrenceville. It was really awesome. It looks like a kids pool, and it was FULL of kids. Its called a leisure pool. We played in it all! It even had a lazy river to float down, and a whirlpool area.

Then I spent the evening listening to Lou Engle of the Call. It was powerful night of contending for issues such as abortion and the homosexual agenda and the spirit of Jezebel. We were praying over the men of the church who are struggling with issues of compromise and immorality. God desires a bride who is righteous! And He is able to deliver us out of our sins! It was powerful!

Today has been a day full of the Lord! I am about to go into a session where Corey Russel is going to speak. I’m excited! Have Your way God!

I leave for Romania in 4 days! It is quickly closing in on me! There are 3 of my team members (one is my team leader) who live in Georgia, actually in Lawrenceville. So we met up at the prayer room and had a meeting about what I will be doing in Romania! Me and my friend Stephen will be teaching small groups about walking in the Spirit. And God is preparing us! Its really exciting. We also talked about the game time, I will be helping lead the games! This will be a really fun time, and a time where we build relationships!

Break in God! Prepare us for this trip! Do what you want to in us and through us! Change these campers lives forever! Let them fall more in love with Jesus! Amen!

Hey everyone! I’m back! (After I really didn’t come back last time, sorry about that). So much has been happening. After I last posted I went to GA for 3 1/2 days and then to Florida for 3 1/2 days. And for the past week I’ve been fasting from the computer. So that makes it 2 weeks!!! AAAHHH!!! I’m really sorry.

Here is a slide show from the last Romania trip I took. Yes, I had blonde hair! πŸ™‚

I have some news for you all! I AM GOING TO ROMANIA!!!! Woohoo! I’ve asked for prayer about this and wrote about it a few times and God is AMAZING! It is completely paid for and I leave in exatly 10 days!

I will be gone June 24th until July 13th. There are two teams that are going, but I will be there for both teams. There are 21 of us in all. Our team name is Pursuit. We are in pursuit of Jesus!! It is going to be an incredible trip, one of the best yet for me I think! The team is going to be amazing as well. I’ve got close friends going, the pastor of my church, young girls, people I don’t know at all, and its just going to be beautiful to watch the Lord use us all in the lives of the Romanians!

This will be my 5th missions trip! 4 of them have been to Romania, but this will be my first time to this area in Romania. I am going to Camp Lighthouse. A youth camp. Usually I go to Bazna, Romania, to the house of prayer there, BHOP. I am looking forward to this change and going back to this beloved country!

We had a day of fellowship and training for our team yesterday and it was a blast! Oh how I love the preparation for these trips, and the way the Lord speaks and teaches all of us to be a team. It is incredible! He is so amazing! To get a group of people to do something together for 19 days, and learn how to do it IN LOVE and not kill each other! Only God can do that! Haha! πŸ™‚

So again, I apologize for the posting lapse. It is getting harder and harder to keep up a blog, but I still want to! I really do enjoy doing it. And I love that people actually read it sometimes. πŸ™‚ I don’t know how these people who post every day or more then once a day for YEARS do it. It is crazy, I guess it is some of their jobs, and well they are much better at it then me. But I’m going to keep chugging along as best I can. Come back if you want, hopefully there will be something to read! πŸ™‚

I picked this song “Rescue” by Desperation Band.

I was mostly influenced to pick this song because of some events that happened tonight. Not directly to me, but that indirectly affects me. I always listen to this song when I am going through something sad.

Not the same rough stuff that I’ve been blogging about. But some OLD rough stuff.

Something that the Lord is bringing closure to.

And when He is doing something like that, killing something inside of me that doesn’t need to be there, that’s when I cry out:

I need You, Jesus, to come to my rescue!

And you know what? EVERY time I pray that, He comes to my rescue. He is pretty amazing like that. You can always count on Him. He wants to come to my rescue.

If you ask Him to do that for you, He will do it! I know we all need rescuing! πŸ™‚
