Tonight concludes my time with my family.

Off tomorrow for a fun filled day of friends and driving.

I was able to see a couple of friends today. Spent a couple hours wrapping presents with my friend Erin. And then made some posters with my friend Josh and the kids in his youth group for a parade they are in. The kids are part of an organization that takes a stand for purity and abstinence. Its pretty awesome to see kids desiring to be pure and to go against the culture of sex before marriage. Way to go kids!

I had this conversation with a girl there:

girl: “Do you think we will get mobbed for standing for abstinence?”

me: “Its totally ok if you get persecuted for Jesus! Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!!”

(the girl kinda shakes her head yes and smiles while staring at me. As other girls turn and stare too.)

Hey its the truth. Just thought they should know. 🙂

I just ate some wonderful food.

I was able to see my parents and brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews. So nice.

I took some pictures but for some reason they aren’t uploading right now, so check back later for pictures!!

🙂 Be blessed on this wonderful Thanksgiving day….

And by the way I’m way thankful for Jesus. And everything that comes because of Him.

More books that I totally recommend that you read!!

I have written 3 posts prior to this with books that I recommend, check those out too:

Book List (01)

Book List (02)

Book List (03)

Experiencing the Depths of Jesus Christ by Jeanne Guyon– This is the book I am currently reading (along with like 5 others, but I will finish this one first). I am being renewed in the place of prayer and sitting in God’s presence because of this book. She wrote it for those who didn’t know how to read, so it is a very easy read and she explains everything very simply. The book is basically about “the prayer of simplicity”. Check it out, it is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!

Remarkable Miracles by G.C. Bevington– Wonderful book on faith and healing. I highly recommend reading it. It will inspire you and challenge you to give yourself to prayer and to really living in faith!

***For both of these books I found free online books. If you just click the links on the titles you can read them! 🙂 If you want to buy them you can click the author’s name.***

Things are going great here in North Carolina.

Thanksgiving is just a few days away, and I’ll get to spend it with friends. 🙂

I’ve been listening to Christmas music, makes me so happy and hyper.

I get to spend hours holding my friend Tiffany’s baby Isabella Grace, or “Isaboo” as I like to call her.

I spent the evening with my roommate, Carol, washing about 54 dirty cups that have accumulated in her car. Also, emptying about 5 bags full of clothes from her car and organizing it all on our couch, where it is still sitting. And trying to get her to get rid of it all. When you live in a studio apartment, you have to have priorities. I told her it was either me or the clothes, but one of us has to go. She said she would pick me. But luckily I’m not really making her decide.

I want God more then ever. I am not satisfied. I hunger and thirst for Him.

I want to give myself to Him in a greater measure. I want to intercede for my friends with authority that shifts things in the spiritual realm and the physical realm.

I want you to want God more then ever. I want you to not be satisfied with anything else. I want you to hunger and thirst for Him. I want you to give yourself to Him in a greater measure. Yeah, I do. Really bad. So I pray.

I’m in love with God, and God’s in love with me. This is who I am and this is who I’ll be. And that settles it, completely.

E-mail address

I just recently found out, from my lovely sister Meagan, that my e-mail address is wrong on my contact page. So if you have tried to e-mail me and it hasn’t worked, which i know some people have told me that, its my fault. I misinformed you. I so sincerely apologize. 🙂

It is amandaslade@ihop-ac.org.

So now you can contact me, for real, if you need to!

This is a little bit of what is going on inside of me recently taken from my journal today…

“I feel as if I should express on paper all that is whirling around inside of my inner man. It is a war on the inside. A battle between depression, self-hatred, and apathy and joy in Your presence, love, and fiery devotion. I am an extreme person. I cannot hang, in between, in the place of life as ‘ok’. It is either awful or absolutely wonderful.

I am not stable in my emotions, yet. It just takes one thing to set me off diving or sky rocketing. One thought, one look, one word, one song, one verse. But oh how I long to be thrust into everlasting joy and devotion never to return to the other extreme.

To believe, oh if it would become reality. The heart of my Father and the love of my Bridegroom. Make it reality in me, God! I am tired of agreeing with the enemy. This is NOT OK with me, yet I continue to do it!

Oh the wrestle in my soul! I have to be Yours! Fully and completely. I have to be grounded on the Rock. I give myself to pursuing You forever. I will not stop. I can do nothing else. Even with the wrestle and battle. Even in my immaturity and weak love.

Oh that I would have the depths of You! Oh that I would walk confident in Your love and walk in unbroken communion with the One whom my soul loves! I have to have breakthrough! I have to get over the fear of rejection. In my mind I look at everything as an opportunity to be rejected or I see it as me being rejected. And I have been living out of this place.

Let Your perfect love case out fear! I want to see myself as You see me! I am tired of the enemy having his way with what I think about myself. I want to declare, ‘wonderful are You works and that my soul knows very well’ and know it without a shadow of a doubt.

Jesus, I have to have greater revelation of You and what You did on the cross. If I did, then I would know the love and value You have put on my life. But I know there is nothing I can ‘do’, so here I am God, have Your way with me. Pour out grace. Pour out Your Spirit. Give me Your mind, Your will and Your emotions. Break-in God! Destroy whatever is erected against the knowledge of You!

It is a war on the inside, its the arena, to demonstrate my love for You.

I will war forever to be in love with You!”

I am not perfect, and my life is not perfect. But One Thing is, and that is God! And I wouldn’t live any other way, or for any other thing. I praise You!!! I love You!!!
