About once a month the night watch has a night called Techno Tuesday. As the title states, it is on Tuesdays. Our assistant director for The Watch, Nathanael Flock, used to be a dj and is amazing at creating music. Especially techno music. So he makes music and sings scriptures and we turn the lights off and turn some strobe lights on and we dance and sing and worship and pray before the Lord! It is so much fun! I love it! Well I took a video of it…I have quite a few videos to post, but I have to upload them to YouTube first and then put them on here…so I’ll post them sometime when I get them all done. But here are some pictures of Nathanael!

Christian Perfection by Fenelon- I haven’t read this entire book yet, only because my wonderful friend Wesley, has a copy of it, and is reading it and every time he reads something that is amazing he gets me to read it and it blows me away! I also have not bought this book because it is an old book and trying to get it costs quite a bit. But I will do my searching and shopping in used bookstores so as to get the best value. πŸ™‚ YOU SHOULD READ THIS BOOK!

Passion for Jesus by Mike Bickle- This was the first book that I read where I felt like someone else in the world understood my hunger for more of God. And it encouraged me that I could actually have more. This book helped bring understanding to me about Intimacy with Jesus.

Humility by Andrew Murray– We are all in desperate need of humility! This is a lifestyle that Jesus promoted over and over again in the Sermon on the Mount and the gospels. This book has so much insight into humility and what it looks like to be lived out!

*Disclaimer- I am not saying that I believe and agree and am saying you should believe everything in these books. They have some awesome things that are biblical and will encourage you to pursue the Lord, but as always search things out in scripture and don’t take anyone’s word for it but what the Lord says!*

Flowers and sunsets

I walked into the prayer room today and I saw the most beautiful bouquet of flowers! It was amazing! And there was a card so I walked over there and looked, and it said To Jesus, From an Admirer. How cool is that!? Jesus got flowers! And they are so gorgeous! They are beautiful oranges and bright yellows and deep reds and pinks and greens. Oh I love the colors! They are the colors of the sunset. And God makes the sunset and He made these flowers! I love Him! They brought me so much joy tonight. I’ve been worshiping Him and smelling them. They smell amazing! Here are some pictures of the flowers! I took them on my computer. πŸ™‚

I have a lot of fun here in the Watch. It started thundering and lightening and so a few of us went and looked outside, and it was raining a little bit. And we really wanted to dance and play and sing to the Lord in the rain so we just went out there and started singing “let it rain, open the flood gates of heaven, let it rain!”

And it started pouring. There were about 5 of us out there. Just singing and worshiping the Lord and dancing. It was so much fun! I love the Lord! He just delights in our worship to Him! He sent the rain, so we could dance and worship and love on Him! He is so awesome! One of the guys took a video so I will post it up soon! πŸ™‚

Lets enjoy God everywhere and in everything!

I just wanted to let you know some great books I’ve read in the past or am currently reading. You should definitely check these books out (in no particular order)

The Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer- I haven’t finished this book, but what I did read blew my mind away! This book talks about how important it is to really know God. Not just be ok with the image we have in our minds. Its amazing, check it out! The link I have above will let you read the book online for free!

The Shack by William P. Young- This is a fiction story, but this will shift and change the way that you view the Father. Oh my goodness, it has rocked me! I can’t tell you exactly what it is about because it will ruin the story, but read it and you will come away with a better understanding of the Father and His love for you!

The Bride by Rhonda Calhoun- An allegory on Song of Solomon. It is amazing and will put into perspective Jesus as your Bridegroom!

I’ll write more later!

There is a tradition here at The Watch, every internship the night watch staff listens to the interns testimonies andΒ  as the Lord moves speak His heart to them. And then at the end, they all decide on a name that fits with what the Lord was speaking. A Prophetic name, and then we get the name written on a night watch hoodie. So tonight they decided on Juliette for me. The reason…one of my prophetic words was that I was like Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), with unabandoned love, a romance with the Beloved. Also others words that I received were about being colorful and energetic. Juliette (they decided not to spell it after Shakespeare:) means divinely youthful. So this is my name. I really love it. I always thought my name would be Anna, but I love the reckless romance (thats it!) like Mary of Bethany which moves me into the intercession as Anna. So this name has a lot of meanings for me, and its my new name from the Lord! I just might name one of my children that…one day…:)
