Who am I?

Me driving to ZHOP

Hey Everyone! My name is Amanda Slade. I am 24 years old and I am a full-time intercessory missionary at IHOP-AC.  I have been an intercessory missionary for about a year and a half now! It has been an amazing and incredible journey! I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world! I am helping lead our internship, Immersed Consecration, for the first time from January-May 2009. It is an amazing learning experience and I am enjoying all that the Lord is doing in me, those in the internship and the staff at IHOP-AC.

What is an Intercessory Missionary? Intercession is praying to God on behalf of someone else. I am a missionary because I am in full-time ministry in Alamance County, asking God to move in this region through prayer and worship. I not only cry out on behalf of this region but the nation and the world.

As an Intercessory Missionary this is my full-time occupation, first ministry to the Lord in my priesthood identity and ministry to others. As the Lord leads I minister to others through prayer and encouragement. My desire is that as I live my life, people will see Jesus. I have commited myself to this not only as my occupation but as my lifestyle. I also will be ministering as the Lord releases me on trips overseas. I will continually go on short term mission trips, but my ultimate desire is to one day help be a part of starting a house of prayer in another country.

I desire to be part of a movement that creates an atmosphere where God’s manifest presense continually dwells. Right now where the Father and Jesus are positioned, in the Throne Room, there is continual worship, crying “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almight, who was and who is and who is to come.” Rev. 4:8.

That is what I want to see on this earth. “Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matt. 6:10

I am crying out for the bride (the church) who will be ready and waiting for her Bridegroom (Jesus) to return. Like the wise virgins in Matt. 25. So that “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Rev. 22:17.

Here is a video of me sharing about what the Lord taught me during my 3 and a half month internship at IHOP-AC.
